Review: MAC lipstick in Chatterbox | Hunt for the perfect pink lipstick

The search is on for the perfect pink lips! Audition starts at...wait, Hahahaha College days, I thought pink lips will wash me out and it's a bit for me. For four years, I've been sporting nude lips! I've been meaning to try pink lipsticks since I saw a blog post from all of the bloggers and videos of Vloggers featuring their COLLECTION of pink lipsticks! It proved me wrong about my thoughts of the pink lipsticks are only for the fair skin.

If you've read my previous post, the mother gave me this for a birthday gift! No, she didn't choose the shade on her own. She accompanied me to the MAC counter and I was there SPAZZING all over the different shades available. I was contemplating on getting a nude lipstick...again, but I should step out of my comfort zone and gave pink a try. Impassioned wasn't available, it was my first choice. I did my research, you know! Chatterbox was also on my list so I got it over Snapdragon. Snapdragon is beautiful color, BTW!

Packaging
Plastic, bullet-like, black casing. You can't really tell the shade of the product without checking the description at the bottom.

Shade and Finish
Chatterbox is described as Bright Red-Pink by MAC and is in Amplified Creme finish. I've read that the Amplified finish stays true to its color when applied to the lips as seen on the tube. I don't own any Amplified finish...yet, Hahahahaha But I think the only difference to these two is the Amplified Creme is creamier on the lips and on the finish. (Because of the word, Creme. Hahahaha)

Application and Staying Power
The lipstick glides on the lips smoothly and gives off full color immediately. No micro glitters, folks. Smells like vanilla, like any other MAC lipstick. Isn't drying at all as opposed to my Etude House lipsticks. I've had dry, always peeling lips, not even exaggerating here, and it has always been a pain to see and feel. With only two days of not using the EH ones 'cause I've been testing out the MAC ones, my lips has magically stopped peeling! Still a little dry but not like before. WHATSORCERYISTHIS? Made me lust even more for MAC lipsticks. Even the boyf noticed it.
It photographs beautifully! Has a sheen to it as seen on the photos. Lasts on me for 4 hours tops with snacking and drinking, and of course, commuting. It transfers a lot so better blot excess product off before rushing out. It stains the lips a little but this is a personal preference, really.

Overall
I really love the lipstick for its performance and color pay-off. This retails for 1000php here in the Philippines. They sell it cheaper in the US so if you're going there or you have relatives or your friends there, you can let them buy for you instead for 15USD. Do the math. I think shedding off 1000php occasionally for this product is ok. That my friend is a personal opinion to clarify things. I mean, we all deserve something good after days of hard work.

P.S.
Not making MAC lipstick sound so good but this is just what I've experienced from it. I am not even expecting any grand effects from this other than the color pay off.
P.P.S.
If you're trying to buy your first MAC lipstick or even not your first, I suggest you test it on yourself. Do not totally rely on someone else's lip swatch of the the color because it really differs depending on the pigmentation of your lips and your skin tone. I was really surprised that some of the colors I've swatched (is swatch really is the right term for sampling lipsticks?) at the MAC counter appealed differently over my skin than the reviews I've read and watched. Camera does tricks on you sometimes so it is better to see the product yourself.
