Myra Daily Sun Protect Facial Moisturizer

That was quite a long product name. Phew!

Say hello to my new product background. Since I changed my blog's layout, might as well change my product background. Though this is not the final background for my new blog layout.

I don't use moisturizers until my 3rd year college life. My dermatologist adviced not to because I have oily combination skin. I, who's active on reading about beauty stuff, find it confusing since in every beauty myth I read "Don't skip moisturizer even if you have oily skin." always pops out. The rebel side of me then came out. This is the third moisturizer I've tried. The first one was L'oreal icy gel anti shine---a review will come out soon. I just wanted to find the perfect moisturizer for me since I'm new to this. I've also tried the original variant of the Myra moisturizer.

Price: P80.00
Place bought: Drugstore
Product description:
  • Double sunscreen protection against UVA and UVB rays.
  • SPF 15 for 15 times more protection  from the harmful effects of the sun.
  • Enriched with vitamin E and moisturizers.
  • Dermatologist-tested, Mild, gentle, and safe for everyday use.
Ingredients:
Water, Octinoxate, Zinc Oxide, Polycrylamide, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Glycerin, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Cyclomethicone, Talc, Streareth-21, Panthenol, Tocopheryl Acetate, DMDM Hydantoin, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbanate, Gluconolactone, Fragrance, Disodium EDTA
Typing those ingredients feels like I'm in my organic and bio chemistry class. O__O

My verdict:
This is a hard experiment I did for my face since it doesn't say which skin type it fits best. As you look on the product, it's white and creamy. Fragrance was also in the ingredients list and it sure do smell good. Not the good chemical scent but a very mild tangerine scent. Upon spreading it on the face, which requires you just a small amount, it is watery and kinda hard to blend if you put on too much. It feels sticky and heavy on the face; And since Philippines is a tropical country which has two climates, hot and very hot---Heeee, I just wanna put some humor to this review, this type of moisturizer doesn't suit the climate. It leaves a shiny finish which is a no no for oily type individuals like myself.
One little, two little, three little Indians.
Blackheads were coming out after one week of use. I normally have blackheads only at my nose area. :((( On the bright side, it has SPF 15 which protects you a little from the suns harmful rays.

Overall:

  1. You should also try the Vita white type of Myra. I'm an oily skin but these Myra products work good on me. They do protect from the Sun because of the SPF and I like the fact that some of the black spots have been less visible. Try exfoliating skin before applying this product, the using an oil-free make up (Krave Oil Eliminator) .. ;))

    1. I'm afraid of using whitening products on my skin especially on my face. I have friends who uses whitening products; and they get uneven skin(floating face) maybe due to how they apply it. I'm just so afraid that it'll happen on me. -______-
Krave is kinda familiar. I think it just came into Cebu just this summer. I'll check it out. :)

  2. Good to know they came out with an SPF one's. :) I've been using Myra Vitamin e enriched moisturizer for quiet sometime now and it works good on me. I just apply it during bedtime since it gets a bit oily wearing it outdoors in daytime, plus no SPF so it really sucks. Over all a good review :)

    following you now :)

    1. The Myra moisturizer works on me only when I apply it during the night(so weird). I wake up with a matte face but whenever I use it for the day, I can make fried eggs on my face after 3 hours. -__-

      Thank you! :* :>
