MAC Angel Review, Pictures, Lip Swatch

Time off from the bright colors from my previous post, here's one for an all year round look! Every time I go to MAC's counter, I am always drawn to colors that are bright, or dark, nothing for everyday wear. I think the bright ones, which are very plenty, covers up the nude ones. With this color I have, the reason is because of...Kim K. Nothing more! Hahahaha What a capital A falling for that, I know! But someone has got to have this shade because...Kim K! I adored MAC bombshell but passed because I am blinded by the reviews and hype of this MAC's Angel.

Shade and Finish
Described by MAC as soft pink in frost finish. One of MAC's bestseller! Looks browny-nude on the tube but definitely a soft pink when applied on (my) lips. Doesn't come off as frosty as I thought but it still has micro shimmers but not the same as Viva Glam Rihanna, which still has micro shimmers but much more noticeable. Glides on smoothly on the lips and has the vanilla scent, which all of MAC's lipsticks smells like.

Lip Swatch
Bare lips
A very light pink on my lips. Two swipes is enough for full color payoff. Doesn't do anything with the color of the teeth. Honestly, I have a love-and-hate relationship with this lipstick. Let's first talk about what I love about this lipstick. It glides on smoothly on the lips, which is always a plus. It looks so pretty on me in camera. The hate side is, it feels kind of dry while applying to the lips. Isn't it ironic? Glides on smoothly but feels dry on the lips? Just a little dry though, nothing to be worried about it to be drying on the lips.  It settles in fine lines (see close-up photo above?) even if I blot with tissue.  Also, I think this washes me off in person, just slightly. But people say it doesn't at all. Are they lying to me or what? Hahaha and I think I need a lip liner for this one...and a blush so I won't look like a sick person.
And here's a photo below using phone's camera just to give you more idea of the color. Kind of looks the same as the DSLR photo but appears a little deeper.

P.S.
Med school is asldkjfaslkdjf;asjldf and this is just the first week. Haven't figured out how to mange my time! :( If only I can never sleep again and has 48 hours in a day, it'll be easier. I hope to talk to you every week (at least once or twice) even with all the studying that has got to be done.
