Pond's Acne Expert Pore Conditioning Toner

I've been searching for a new toner since my dermatologist ran out of my regular toner for 3 months already. My face can't stand the gunk I've been giving due to commuting everyday. I was browsing toners in Wastons and I found this. I am very hesitant to buy this since it's not a friend to my skin when I was back in high school. I've used Pond's facial cleansers and toners but neither one of it worked on me. The reason why I got this product is because of its very cheap price...and I give second chances to anything...and anyone ;)

Price: P79.00
Place bought: Watsons
Product content: 100ml

Product description:
  • Cares for pores to give you clearer skin that is smooth and refined up close.
  • Enriched with:
    • Salicylic Acid and Tea Tree Oil, it deeply cleans and unclog pores, helping to reduce pimples for clearer skin.
    • Pore Tightening Essence that conditions pores for smooth, refined skin.
Ingredients:
Water, Alcohol Denat, Sodium Lactate, Niacinamide, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Benzophenone-4, Dipotassion Glycyrrhizate, Salicylic Acid, Perfume, Menthol, Disodium EDTA, Lactic Acid, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil

My verdict:
The packaging is plastic, you can't expect much from the packaging since this is very cheap. The toner is as clear as the water. It smells really good(maybe some won't find it that good but it smells good. There's perfume on the ingredients list so what can you expect?). Feels really cool(icy cool) when applied on to the face. It gets rid of all the dirt even you've cleaned your face with your favorite cleanser. It is indeed a pore conditioning toner! After days of religiously using this, my VERY VISIBLE LARGE PORES were diminished, LIKE REALLY! It was like magic! I never thought that a P79.00 product will reduce my visible large pores. It's pore tightening essence did a great job as well on refining the skin.  All areas without pimples were very smooth to touch. My face stays matte a little longer than usual. It cures but doesn't prevent pimples from showing up. There's just one thing that made me hate this product, it gave me a lot of very fine pimples on my forehead and on my chin. :\ It also has Alcohol Denat as the second ingredient. Alcohol is a no no for individuals who have sensitivity to alcohol.

It really broke my heart. :\ I was so in love with this product but when those fine pimples showed up...no, it wasn't because of hormones and such, it was just an effect from the product. :((

I really recommend this to people who has oily skin, and large pores! I hope it'll work on you 'cause it's really good. :)

Overall:
♥♥♥

  2. I just got home from Watsons and I was looking for a facial toner too. I looked at this product but was hesitant for the same reason as yours- Pond's didn't work for me during my teenage years. I got the Nivea toner instead. Maybe because I have been using Nivea products and so far they work well on me. Hope this Nivea toner is good.

  7. I realize everyone's skin reacts differently, but Citrus Clear has worked wonders for me after only using it twice. It does leave my skin a little dry, but I expected that. Now I can't even see my pores in my lighted 10x magnification mirror, and Citrus Clear has greatly reduced the slight redness I had around my nose and on my chin.

  8. i'm a low maintanance girl, so Iactually lovethat CItrus Clear's face washes actually come with toner in them already - no need for a 2 step process! I prefer it less complicated and you cant beat the great smell!
